A little adventure to share.
Something round is rolling our way! Catch and count the flying bagels with Poppy, Maya, Leo and Scout. Twelve makes a dozen; one more makes thirteen, a baker’s dozen. Count four pumpkin cakes and six cupcakes, then help find seven ingredients for a cake. There is even a little hide-and-seek surprise with Leo. Follow the grown-up baker through mixing and baking, decorate the smiling SunnyDays cake and celebrate with the Wiggle & Giggle dance at a cheerful Halloween bakery party.
Watch and wonder together.
Pause for a guess. Point, say an answer, or try a movement together.
- How many bagels make a dozen?
- What happens when we add one more?
- Can you find all seven cake ingredients?
A little help for grown-ups
A dozen is twelve. A baker’s dozen is thirteen. The seven ingredients are flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, baking powder and vanilla. Try pretend stirring together; real baking and oven use belong with a grown-up.
