Book the site that fits your equipment
Start with the campground’s official booking page and use the equipment and length filters. Look at the map for the route to the beach and restrooms. The campground’s oceanfront setting does not guarantee an ocean view from every site.
The booking page lists advance reservation rules and site details. Check your trip dates, vehicle rules and the site’s permitted equipment before committing. A Friday arrival with enough daylight to set up makes the first night easier if the wind picks up.
Plan a beach day around the posted hours
The park lists a seasonal ocean-swimming schedule separate from the camping season. If swimming is the reason for the trip, verify beach operations and follow lifeguards and posted conditions when you arrive. A cool-weather visit can still be worth making for a dry-sand walk and a picnic where permitted.
Give kids a photo challenge from the open paths and beach. Look for a wave line, wind moving through grass, and the color of the sky above the dunes. Stay on designated access routes so the dune vegetation has room to do its job.
Keep sand out of the sleeping area
Set up a shoe-drop spot outside the sleeping space and pack a separate bag for wet clothing. Check the forecast before choosing a tent and use the setup and anchoring instructions for your equipment. Plan at least one meal that works even if you decide to skip outdoor cooking in strong wind.
